Celebrate 'Green Day'

Tomorrow we celebrate everything Irish on Saint Patrick's Day. Colloquially known as St. Paddy's Day or simply Paddy's Day, this annual feast day celebrates Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland.

The 17th of March is a national holiday of Ireland, it is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland and a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland. It is not a holiday of any sort in New Zealand, but it is an excuse to celebrate by wearing a dash of green anywhere possible; clothing, hair, beards, socks, dresses, hats, and glasses, and of course downing a pint or two of that wonderful brew called Guinness.

Craic: Wikipedia calls it fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation and Urban Dictionary entries refer to it as the Irish word that meaning good times, banter, having a good time, debauchery of any kind or good clean fun. Whatever you want to call it, this Wednesday is the day to celebrate good craic and to have a rollicking good time.
